Paris Hop-On Hop-Off Combo Tickets With Attractions

Hop on hop off Paris combo tickets bundle a bus or boat pass with a ticketed attraction: the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Palace of Versailles, Disneyland Paris, Sainte-Chapelle, even a day trip to Bruges. They are sold as one booking with 5% off the combined price. The cheapest we found was the Batobus with Sainte-Chapelle and the Conciergerie from €48, and a Big Bus pass with the Eiffel Tower second floor started at €88.

The Eiffel Tower slot and the bus loop: a timing trap

An Eiffel Tower ticket comes with a fixed entry time. A bus loop does not run to a timetable you can trust to the minute, because traffic on the Champs-Élysées decides it. Book the tower for 11:00 and plan to arrive by bus at 10:55, and you will be late.

  1. Pick an Eiffel slot at least 90 minutes after you plan to board the bus.
  2. Get off at the Trocadéro, not at the tower stop. You cross the Pont d'Iéna on foot in ten minutes and get the classic view on the way.
  3. Do the rest of the loop after the tower, never before.
💡 Pro Tip
Book the tower first, the bus second
With a combo you choose both at checkout, so start with the Eiffel slot. The tower is the part that sells out. The bus pass is flexible, the 12:30 summit slot is not.

Front courtyard and main facade of the Palace of Versailles

Eiffel Tower combos

The most popular pairing. Worth it if you want the summit, the slot that sells out first, and a bus to get there.

Disneyland combos

Two separate days. The park ticket and the bus pass do not overlap, so use the bus on a day you are in the city.

Versailles combo

Tootbus sells its pass with Palace entry as one option. Versailles takes a full day, so the bus belongs to another one.

Is a Paris bus and attraction combo cheaper

A little. The 5% bundle saving is real but small, and on a €135 combo it is about €7. The better reason to buy one is that the two tickets arrive together and you plan the day around one email.

Skip it if the attraction is the whole point of your trip and the bus is an afterthought. Then book the attraction on its own and add a bus ticket only if you need one.

💡 Pro Tip
Sainte-Chapelle by boat is the underrated combo
Everyone buys the Eiffel bundles. The Batobus with Sainte-Chapelle costs a third of that, the pier at Notre-Dame is a short walk from the chapel, and the stained glass is at its best around midday. It makes a calm, cheap half-day.

Disneyland and Bruges combos: two days, not one

These combos pair a bus pass with a full day out of Paris. They are convenient, but they only make sense if your trip is long enough to give each part its own day.

ComboFromDays neededMakes sense on
Tootbus + Disneyland, 1 day 1 park€121.75Two: one city, one parkA trip of four days or more
Big Bus + Disneyland, 1 day 1 park€124TwoA trip of four days or more
Tootbus + Disneyland, multi-day€257.75Three or moreA family week
Tootbus + Bruges day trip€133.75Two: one city, one BrugesFour or five days

The park and Bruges are both outside the city, so the day you go there is not a bus day. Scan the bus pass on a city day before or after. On a two-day trip, skip these combos: the day out eats half of your Paris.

Pick the right Paris combo in three questions

  1. Would you buy the attraction anyway? If the answer is no, skip the combo. A 5% saving on something you did not want is not a saving.
  2. Does the attraction have a fixed entry time? The Eiffel Tower and the Louvre do. Leave at least 90 minutes between boarding the bus and your slot.
  3. Is it in the city or outside? Versailles, Disneyland and Bruges each take a full day. Use the bus pass on a different day.

Three yes-or-no answers and the list of combos shrinks to the one or two that fit your trip.

Eiffel Tower second floor or summit with the bus

Second floor comboSummit combo
What you reachThe first and second floorsAll three levels, top included
Time at the towerAbout 1h30About 2h30, with a lift change at the second floor
Best forFamilies, a tight day, a good view over the rooftopsFirst-timers who want the very top
From, with Big Bus€88€138

The second floor gives the better view of the city in detail: you can still pick out streets and roofs. The summit is higher and windier, and the queue for the final lift is the part of the day nobody controls. Pick the summit for the bragging rights, the second floor for the view.

💡 Pro Tip
Take the tower slot in the late afternoon
A slot around 17:00 in spring and autumn means you ride the bus in the morning, eat, and reach the top as the light turns golden. You come down after dark in time to see the sparkle from the Champ de Mars.

Louvre combo: timing the museum and the bus

The Big Bus combo with a Seine cruise and the Louvre comes with reserved entry and a tour of the masterpieces, from €128. The museum is closed on Tuesdays, so do not plan your Louvre day for one.

  • Book the earliest entry you can face. The galleries with the Mona Lisa fill through the morning.
  • Use Big Bus stop 1 or 2, both by the Louvre. You walk from the bus to the entrance in minutes.
  • Keep the cruise for the evening of the same day, when your feet need a seat.

Combos that rarely make sense

  • A Disneyland combo on a two-day trip. The park takes one of your two days, and the bus pass has to fit into the other.
  • The Eiffel summit on a cloudy day. If the top is in the clouds, the second floor shows you more.
  • Two attractions with fixed times on the same day. Traffic decides when the bus gets you anywhere; one timed slot per day is plenty.

In all three cases a plain bus ticket and a separate attraction ticket on another day give you more control for almost the same money.

How a combo ticket arrives and how to use it

A combo is one booking but several tickets. Knowing how they arrive saves a confused moment at the entrance.

  1. Checkout: you choose the date of each part. Pick the attraction slot first, since that is what sells out.
  2. Confirmation: one email with a separate ticket for each part, each with its own QR code and date.
  3. Bus or boat: show the pass to the driver or at the pier; the hours start at the first scan.
  4. Attraction: show its own ticket at its own entrance, at the time you chose.
  5. Changes: each part keeps its own cancellation rules; read both before you pay.

Save both tickets as screenshots the evening before: signal around the big monuments can be weak, and nobody wants to search an inbox in a queue.

Versailles with a bus pass: making the day work

The Palace of Versailles sits outside the city, about forty minutes by RER C from the centre. The Tootbus option bundles palace entry with the bus pass in one booking, but the two belong on different days.

DayPlanTicket used
City dayBlue Route loop, the Louvre, Notre-Dame, the Panthéon stopBus pass (first scan)
Versailles dayRER C out in the morning, palace, gardens, back in the eveningPalace entry
Optional third daySecond bus day if you took the 72-hour passBus pass

The palace is closed on Mondays, so check your dates before you pick the combo. Go out early: the palace is busiest from late morning, and the gardens are at their best before the crowds arrive.

Prices are "from" prices in euros and vary by date and option; the price at checkout is the one that applies. Independent guide, not affiliated with Big Bus, Tootbus, Batobus or Bustronome.
