Paris Hop-On Hop-Off Tickets and Prices
Hop on hop off Paris tickets start at €23 for a 24-hour Batobus river pass, about €28 for a 24-hour Tootbus or Big Bus pass, and climb with longer passes, a Seine cruise or an attraction added on top. Those are the lowest "from" prices. The price for your own date can be higher: within a single week, the same Big Bus ticket can cost around €10 more on a Saturday than on a Wednesday.
Below is every ticket that matters, what is in it, and the small print on cancelling.

Why Paris bus tour prices change by date
These passes are priced per day, much like a train. Weekends and the days around them cost more, quiet weekdays less. On the Big Bus calendar we looked at, Wednesday was the cheap day at €39 and the weekend sat at €49.
If your dates are flexible, open the calendar before you commit to the start day. Ten euros per person adds up fast for a family of four.
24, 48 or 72 hours: which pass length to buy
The hours on the pass run from the first scan, around the clock, so the real question is how many daylight sessions on the bus you will use. Here is what each length gives you in practice.
| Pass | Realistic use | Stops you will actually visit | Best for |
| 24 hours | One full loop plus an afternoon of hopping, or two half-days if you scan after lunch | 3 to 4 | A one or two-day stay, a first look at the city |
| 48 hours | Two mornings and two afternoons, with a museum or a cruise in between | 6 to 8 | A long weekend, a family that needs breaks |
| 72 hours | The bus as your daytime transport for three days, metro barely needed | 9 or more | Three to five days, a hotel away from the centre |
24 hours: who it suits
- Travellers with one free day, or a stopover with an overnight
- Anyone who mainly wants the top-deck overview and the commentary
- People who will walk the centre and only need the bus for the far-flung west
Scan it at 13:00 and you keep the next morning too. That simple trick turns one day into a day and a half.
48 or 72 hours: who it suits
- Visitors who want time inside the Louvre, Orsay or up the Arc between rides
- Families who need a park stop every hour and prefer not to rush a loop
- Anyone staying near the Opéra or the Marais who wants the bus for the Trocadéro and the tower
The 72-hour pass exists only on Tootbus. On Big Bus, a 48-hour ticket scanned at midday gives three half-days.
How to use your hop-on hop-off ticket on the day
- Tootbus: show the ticket on your phone to the driver at any of the 10 Blue Route stops. That first scan starts the clock.
- Big Bus: redeem the voucher at the Big Bus information centre at 11 avenue de l'Opéra, by the Louvre, or with a Big Bus representative at any stop.
- Batobus: show the ticket on your phone as you step aboard at any of the nine piers.
- Night and Christmas tours: fixed departure times. Tootbus asks you to arrive 20 minutes early for the Christmas run and does not wait for latecomers.

Cancelling or changing a Paris hop-on hop-off ticket
All the main tickets are refundable if you act in time. Tootbus allows free cancellation and rescheduling until 24 hours before your date. Big Bus and the Batobus allow both until 23:59 on the day before. Combos follow the rules of each part, so check both lines on the product page before you book a combination that includes a timed attraction.
What a hop-on hop-off day costs for two people
Multiply the "from" prices by two and you get the floor for a couple. These are adult prices for the cheapest date; weekends and peak days run higher.
| Plan for two adults | What you buy | From |
| River only | 2 x Batobus 24 h | €46 |
| One bus day | 2 x Tootbus 24 h | €56 |
| One bus day, Red Route | 2 x Big Bus 24 h | €57.60 |
| Bus and a Seine boat | 2 x Tootbus + Bateaux-Mouches | €107.50 |
| An evening out | 2 x Christmas Lights tour | €66.30 |
| Lunch with a view | 2 x Bustronome lunch | €150 |
Children change the sums: Tootbus prices ages 4 to 12 separately and lets under-fours travel in an infant band. The exact child price for your date shows at checkout before you pay.
Before you buy a bus pass: a five-point checklist
- Start date. Pick the day you will first scan, not the day you arrive. The pass waits for you until then.
- Pass length. Count daylight sessions, not calendar days. See the table above.
- Commentary language. Tootbus has 10 languages, Big Bus 8, and they are not the same eight. Check yours.
- Cancellation deadline. 24 hours before on Tootbus, 23:59 the evening before on Big Bus and the Batobus.
- Age bands. Enter each child at the right age. Tootbus counts 13 and over as adults.
Bus ticket add-ons worth paying for, and the ones to skip
- Worth it: the one-hour Seine cruise in a bus combo, if you would book a boat anyway. Same boat, one booking, 5% off.
- Worth it: a night tour on your first or last evening. It needs no planning and shows the city at its best.
- Worth it: an Eiffel Tower combo, but only if you book the tower slot first and leave a 90-minute margin.
- Skip: a 72-hour pass for a two-day trip. You pay for hours you will spend asleep.
- Skip: a second bus brand. Big Bus and Tootbus pass the same landmarks; one pass is plenty.

Paris bus tickets in bad weather
Rain does not stop the buses. On both lines the lower deck is covered, so a wet day is less of a disaster than it sounds. The real question is whether you want to spend paid pass hours behind a misted window, and the answer depends on what kind of rain it is.
| Forecast | What to do with the bus ticket | Better plan for the day |
| Showers, sunny spells | Keep the date. Sit downstairs between showers, go up when it clears | Bus loop as planned, poncho in the bag |
| Grey but dry | Keep the date: the light is soft and the queues are short | A good day for the top deck and photos |
| Rain all day | Move the bus to another day before the deadline | Batobus: glazed, heated and cheaper |
| Storm or strong wind | Move the date: the top deck is no fun in it | Museums near the river, Batobus between them |
Most bus tickets here can be moved or cancelled free until the day before (24 hours ahead for Tootbus, until 23:59 the day before for Big Bus and the Batobus). Book the day you want, check the forecast the evening before, and decide then. The Batobus is the natural swap: it runs in any weather and the piers sit by the Louvre, Orsay and Notre-Dame.
Prices are "from" prices in euros and vary by date and option; the price at checkout is the one that applies. Independent guide, not affiliated with Big Bus, Tootbus, Batobus or Bustronome.
